PostSubject: Ttlmetal's 3D stuff   Fri Sep 21, 2007 4:04 am

Well, since I am now in 3D Animation class for school, I will be working alot on different 3D modeling and 3D Animations. This will all be done with the most uber program: 3D Studio Max 9!!! (Or if it's done on my computer at home, 3D Studio Max 2008! lol)

YELLOW= NEW

I will post my first lesson (Animation) soon. And here is a little more complex thing: Cheeseburger (Modeling)

Here is something I'm kinda proud about but anyway, here is my table:
Table: Camera Angle 1
Table: Camera Angle 2

Here are three things I made with all standard objects, and I think it looks quite decent if I may say so myself. They are: a pencil, a barbell, and a weight. (BTW, for some reason when I render as .bmp format, the quality is really bad...oh well...)
Pencil
Barbell
Axle
All Models together w/ bad looking chair and those construction signs

Ok, well here are three chess peices I made in class:
Chess pieces

Here is something I'm quite proud of and I went a lil beyond what most people did (once again, A LITTLE lol):
Jack-o-lantern
(hell, the ground looks like graphics of Warrock lol)

MODEL I MADE COMPLETELY BY MYSELF WITH NO HELP. I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT FOR SCHOOL. I just finished it and I'm kinda proud of myself. The only help I had was I used a tutorial to make the water effects.
I also made it with the brand new 3ds Max 2008:

Sea creature-Camera 1
Sea creature-Front
Sea creature-Left
Sea creature-Right
Sea creature-Back

Criticism is not appreciated.

How come the bun is floating off the rest of the burger?

Nice job, I remember making a 3d hand, I kinda messed up because when I rotated it, its like spikes would come out of the palm Shocked

the reason your hand got messed up when you moved it is because you probaly didnt select all the vertceis there for streching them.

Thanks for compliment.

The reason why bun is floating off rest of burger is to see the inside. He kinda asked us to do that.

Here's something you need to know with anything 3d designs. It doesn't matter whether its messed up in any other angle. As long as it looks normal in the perspective view (what your seeing.) Maybe when you get farther into it (and i mean ALOT farther) they will start caring, but dont worry about what it looks like from the side, as long as it looks fine from the front.

pretty nice, and from an architecture point of view, it would be more stable and stylish to add a second leg just like that on the opposite side(IMO), that would be a pretty good style if the leg slanted off to attach to a wall.

But from an origional stand point, its pretty good! Keep it up Very Happy

Thanks for compliment again Aref Very Happy .
But anyway, there truely are tables made like that. Personally, I think they look rediculously stupid, but many people like that "funky" type of thing lol. If I find one on the internet, I'll post the link.

EDIT: As I was looking for some tables through google, I found this really weird table, its a Rubik's Cube table HAHA HeadShot Dead HeadShot2 !
Rubik's Table

Once again, very nice

I also saw that you didn't color the objects based on RL, but that doesn't matter, what matters was the proportion of the objects.
